More Children Hospitalized For Psychiatric Disorders

Some great statistics and scary. We are failing our children. Approximately 1 in every 350 kids is now considered to have such psychiatric problems that they need to be "inpatients".

Interestingly though, the research gives no hint as to causes. Is it because we all know them? Is it because we don't say "no" or because many parents are also borderline psychiatric these days? Is it because the family has totally broken down. One statistic you won't see is what percentage of those children are from single-parent homes. {And no, I am not blaming the single parents -- I am blaming the broken down marriages.}

Or is it because we replaced god-given upbringing of a child with the introduction of children rights to a far extreme? Whatever the reason, things are progressively getting worse, not better. Sorry for this news.
